What strange times these are at the moment due to the COVID 19 Pandemic.

Following on from several weeks of delivering compost to people self isolating , we are now open 4 days a week and are busier than ever.

We are really grateful to all our customers both old  and new for their support. We have been able to add several new lines to our ranges and after having decided last year to no longer stock any plants, a change of plan has lead to a successful couple of months selling some excellent perennials .

Metal garden furniture, animal ornaments and other decorative garden items continue to be very popular.

Please pop in and see what we have got to offer.

The First Day of Spring. The snow has just about disappeared and the days are getting longer. We are all ready for some sunshine and warmth so that we can get out an about in our gardens. To get things started, we have fresh stocks of our popular Bord na Mona Multi-Purpose compost only £5.25 for a 50lt bag or three bags for £12.00. The same compost also comes in a 75lt compressed bale for £7.50 or three bales for £18.00. We have stocked this for several years now and it is recommended by both us and our customers.

It is also seed planting time for many plants and we have a new range of Country Value Flower and Vegetable seeds , competitively priced at 99p for all varieties.

Pop in and see us, you will be receive a warm welcome, even though the building is a little on the cool side at the moment.

As many of you will be aware, this year marks the centenary of the ending of the First World War. In a few weeks time we will be scattering some poppy seeds on the strip of land at the top of our carpark . Hopefully we will have a lovely display of red poppies later in the year, a tiny gesture to show our respect to all those who have lost their lives serving our country. We thought our customers may like to do something similar in their own gardens, it needn’t take up much space, even a plant pot would do. We therefore have 100 packets of poppy seeds to give away ( 1 per customer) to anyone who has seen this post , pays us a visit and has a look around. You need to say you have seen the post on Facebook and say the word POPPY. The packets are priced at 99p for anyone who would like more than one. There are 1000 seeds in each packet, plenty to share with friends and neighbours. Please LIKE and SHARE this post.

Many thanks to Nickola Beck www.facebook.com/NickolaBeckPhotography for the kind use of her beautiful photo ‘ Wild Poppies Sunburst’ .
